Marcia
Hargreaves - has been exhibited in galleries and museums
throughout the United States including the National Museum of American
Art and the Corcoran Museum in Washington, D.C.
Marcia received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth
University in Richmond, Virginia. she is also the recipient of an intrenship
at the Smithsonian Museums and the youngest artist selected for a cultural
exchange show that toured Russia in 1985, consisting of 21 american Women
Artist.
Her work is in private collections in the United States and abroad including:
Denmark, Norway, and Scotland.
"I relocated back to Texas, in 1996, in search of open skies. I am
fascinated by the way the changing light brings out varied and unexpected
color in the Texas landscape. I have connected with myself and the world
around me through the continual shifts and changes. Change is the one
constant that connects us all."
