William
Laufer - was born in 1934 in New Jersy. He received his
education at Trinity College, Hartford, The New School, New York, and
at Suny Albany, where he received the Associate in Arts degree. In 1963
and 1964 he studied Asian print technique in Hakata, Japan. Laufer has
also studied at t The Glassell School, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston,
under master printer Suzanne Manns. His work has ben shown at the McNay
Art Museum, San Antonio, the Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock, Laguna
Gloria Museum, Austin, The dishman Gallery, Beaumont, Hooks-Epstein Galleries,
Houston, The Jung Center Gallery, Wood You Remember Gallery, North Chatham,
Massachusetts, and other venues in the United States. Through the auspices
of Taller Galleria Fort in Cadaques, Spain, he has exhibited internationally
every year since 1988. His work also resides in permanent collections
in The Library of Congress and the University of Wyoming.
